PALL’s 10-11 All-Star Team
Wins Sectional Game!
The PALL 10-11 All Star team bounced back after a tough loss to
Quartz Hill on Saturday (7/17) to beat Crescenta Valley/District
16 7-6 in the Sectional tournament in Encino. Robbie Leslie threw
three scoreless innings to get PALL started including getting 2
K's and tagging out a runner before he got to first base in the
first inning. Two consecutive 1-2-3 8 pitch innings followed. Riley
Gosnell got the team on the board offensively with a two RBI double
in the top of the first. Matt Bazarevitsch got things started in
the second with a screaming double which led to two more runs and
a 4-0 lead. The boys added another run in the 3rd for a 5-0 lead.
Crescenta Valley came alive in the 4th scoring 4 runs before pitcher
Matt Arnst ended the threat by striking out 2 of the last 3 batters.
PALL added two more runs in the bottom of the 4th for a 7-4 lead.
Crescenta Valley scored two more in the 5th to bring it to within
one run 7-6. Riley "The Closer" Gosnell came in the top
of the 6th and struck out 2 batters in 6 pitches and got the final
batter to ground out to end the game. It was a great team effort
with Zach Brown going 3-3 and both Sean Kelly and Filipe Masestas
going 2-2.
Congratulations to the Angels for winning the Majors PALL Tournament!
