PALL Wins all Three Games in Opening All Star Weekend

Pasadena American Little League started the weekend off right by winning all three games across the All Star Tournaments on Saturday.

The Little League All Star team (12 year olds), started out hot as they notched 13 hits in a scorcher, defeating East Altadena 13-2. Andrew Luna lead the offense going 3-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's. It was a multiple hit kind of day as Liam Hendon, Chris Chino, and Melinda Lansford all had 2 hits. The pitching was strong with each pitcher going 2 innings. Kian Benitez, Andrew Luna, and Melinda Lansford combined to allow only 2 runs on 4 hits and 8 strikeouts. The Little League All Star team takes on Arcadia American on Tuesday, June 22nd at 4:45pm (Lojeski Field).

The 8/9/10 team continued the trend as they headed to Allendale for a 6pm game vs. East Altadena. The PALL All Stars were down early 5-1 in the first inning, but that quickly changed as they scored 14 unanswered runs to win the game 15-5. Ryan Chanpong showed up big with 4 hits and 5 RBIs on the day. The trend of multiple hits continued as the PALL team notched 16 hits with multiple hits coming from Miles Pendleton, Alex Blasi, Carter Lowery, and Leo Garroway. Marcos Rodriguez, Leo Garroway and Valentine Alvarez combined to pitch 5 innings with only 3 earned runs, 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. The 8/9/10 team plays on Wednesday night at 7pm against a team to be determined later.

The Future's All Star team had a delayed start to their game last night and got the final game rolling at 7pm at Heasley Field. Strong pitching and timely hits helped the Future's team defeat Santa Anita Little League 7-3. It was a pitching duel and hits were hard to come by. Nick Lopez, Emily Lansford, Xavier Shakiba, and Declan Beck all contributed with singles on the day. Gavin Badzey led the offense with 2 hits and a double to keep a rally going in the 4th inning to seal the win. Jack Giovannone set the tone for the team by pitching 4 strong innings, allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks and 7 strikeouts. Cooper Lewis held down the plate with 6 strong innings of catching. Runners were not able to advance during the game and Cooper cut down a runner stealing 3B with a great tag by Nick Lopez. Emily Lansford came in to complete the save with 2 strong innings of pitching. Xavier Shakiba recorded the final out on a great play in CF. The Future's team will play again on Saturday, June 26th at 6pm vs. Pasadena Southwest (Heasley Field).

Our 9/10/11 Team starts their tournament off on Tuesday night at Victory 2 at 7:30pm. Come out to watch and support all of our PALL teams this week!
