WHAT IS THE CHALLENGER DIVISION?

The Challenger Division was established by Little League Baseball in 1989 to enable any boy or girl with a physical or intellectual challenge ages 4-18 (or up to 22 if still in school) to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in the sport world wide.

Today more than 30,00 children participate in more than 900 Challenger Divisions worldwide.

The most fundamental goal of the Challenger Division is to give everyone a chance to play.  Games are organized with other Challenger teams from our own league and other neighboring leagues.  During Challenger games we try to pair up the Challenger players with a "buddy" from our Majors and Minors teams.   Buddy's will participate as needed to help the Challenger games along.

Through the generous support of our sponsors donors and volunteers, we are able to offer the Challenger program free of charge to any player wishing to participate.  Please considering volunteering to support this program to help keep it growing and keep it free!

For more information on joining the Challenger program as a player, volunteer, or coach please contact our Challenger Program Director:
