The Stars Shine Bright as PALL Wins all 3 on Friday Night

It was an amazing night of baseball across the district as PALL won all 3 games tonight.

The 8/9/10 All Stars started things off at Allendale Park against a very capable Sierra Madre team. PALL was down early in the 1st inning 3-0, but the PALL team responded with a 13-run inning in the top of the 2nd. Many PALL players had multiple hits on the night as the runs kept coming. Ryan Chanpong, Miles Pendleton, Alexander Blasi, and Jack Hoang each had 2 hits on the night. Jack Hoang led the team with 4 rbis and a bases clearing double in the run stomping 2nd inning. Beckett Sparks, Leo Garroway, and Valentin Jacob Alvarez combined for 6 innings, only allowing 3 earned runs. PALL finished off the night with a 17-8 win. The 8/9/10 team now plays Arcadia American on Tuesday, June 29th at 6pm (Allendale Park).

The stars continued to align as our 9/10/11 team took on Santa Anita at Victory Park in a pitching duel. Gavin Fong and Nolan Pegram combined to throw a 6-inning shutout with 1 BB and 9 strikeouts between the two of them. The score was 0-0 until the top of the 4th inning when PALL rallied to put 2 runs on the board. A timely walk by Gavin Fong, followed by a double from Harrison Eberwein put the first run across. One batter later Nolan Pegram singled in Eberwein to take a 2-0 lead. PALL added one more run to the score with consecutive singles from Eberwein, Charles Gillissie, and Pegram. With the 3-0 win, our 9/10/11 team now advances to the Championship game on Wednesday, June 30th, against either Pasadena Southwest or San Marino National (Victory Park).

The excitement continued in our final game of the night as our 10/11/12 All Stars took on Santa Anita Little League at Lojeski Field. The top of the 1st inning saw a lot of action on the base-paths, but PALL was only able to get one run across as Lawton Gray IV delivered with a hard-hit ground ball through the infield. Andrew Luna followed with an immediate 1-2-3 bottom of the 1st, striking out all 3 batters. The PALL offense rewarded him by scoring 4 runs in the top of the 2nd. The scoring came fast as 3 consecutive singles by Kian Benitez, Noah Tsui, and Liam Hendon, were followed up by Chris Chino who hit a line drive shot over the left center field fence for a home run. Santa Anita bounced back with 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd with some timely hits and some errors. However, PALL took a 6-5 lead into the top of the 6th and put it away with 4 more runs. A single by Chino and a moon-shot home run by Elijah Lain to right center field added a quick two runs to the score. Melinda Lansford followed up with a single the opposite way and some timely walks and hits led to a two rbi single from Garrett Sparks. Andrew Luna, Elijah Lain, and Melinda Lansford combined for a dominant pitching performance, allowing 0 earned runs, 0 walks, and a combined 11 strikeouts. Our 10/11/12 team will now play in the Championship game on Wednesday, June 30th, at Lojeski Field!
