PALL Futures Team Advances to the Championship Game

The PALL Futures team defeated San Marino on Monday night to advance to the championship game. The Futures All Star team took a commanding lead to beat San Marino on Monday night at Heasley Field. San Marino started off the game with a 1-0 lead, but PALL responded with 10 unanswered runs through four innings that led them to a comfortable 11-4 win. Xavier Shakiba led the team with 2 hits, and Cooper Lewis, Emily Lansford, Gavin Badzey, Declan Beck and Chris Lopez all chipped in with one hit each to lead the offensive explosion throughout the game. Justin Tsao helped start multiple rallies with key walks and stealing home at the opportune time. The PALL outfield defense (Shakiba, Lansford, Cameron Chang, Badzey) was an unsung hero tonight as they kept all balls in front of them and allowed no extra bases, while Sebastian Garcia proved to be a wall at SS, making play after play to cut down the runners. Nick Lopez pitched a stellar game, going 4 1/3 innings, allowing only 2 earned runs with 0 walks and 7 strikeouts. Jack Giovannone came in to finish off the last 1 2/3 innings with 3 strikeouts of his own. The PALL Futures will now play the winner of Santa Anita/Sierra Madre on Wednesday, June 30th at 6pm for the Championship game (Heasley Field).
